1. What is NSPHI?

NSPHI stands for Network of Schools of Public Health in India. It is a collaborative association of schools of public health in India offering Master of Public Health (MPH) programs. Presently the network is dedicated to work in three collectively identified core areas:

  • Public Health Education
  • Public Health Research
  • Public Health Practice

The concept of NSPHI was formally discussed in June 2025, wherein 13 premier schools of public health in India joined hands to be the founding members. The network was launched on 11th December 2025.

Membership is open to schools/ institutes/ departments of public health in India offering full time regular MPH programs.

 

Schools/ Institutes/ department of public health in India offering full time MPH programs, since last five years and with an average batch size of minimum five students during last five years are eligible to apply for NSPHI membership. The status of the MPH program should be “active” while applying for membership.

 

Members may gain access to be a part of its various collaborative activities:

  • Faculty and student exchange programs
  • Joint research initiatives
  • Shared curricula, teaching tools, and learning resources
  • Webinars, national public health classrooms
  • Networking opportunities with regional and global experts
  • Capacity-building workshops and professional development events etc.

Yes. Students can benefit from internships, scholarships (if available), research collaborations, mentorship programs, conferences, and exchange opportunities across participating schools

You may apply, in case your institute is offering two years full time MPH programme for last five years. Please refer point No.3 for eligibility criteria.

You can apply, provided you are also offering full time regular MPH program.  Please refer to FAQ No. 3 above for eligibility criteria

No. Membership is open to only schools/ institutes/ departments of public health in India offering full time regular MPH programs in offline mode.  Please refer to FAQ No.3 above for more details.

You can apply, provided along with these two programs you are also offering full time regular MPH program at the institute. Please refer to FAQ no 3 above for eligibility criteria.
